Brig. Poninder Kumar Dogra (Retd.) is a highly acclaimed Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retina specialist with more than three decades of experience in military and civilian ophthalmology. A graduate of Christian Medical College (CMC) and a postgraduate from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), he later pursued advanced specialisation in Vitreo-Retina from AIMS.

He has served in key leadership roles across India’s premier medical institutions, including AFMC Pune, ALIMS Bilaspur, ACMS Delhi Cantt, and SSMR Greater Noida, where he headed the Department of Ophthalmology. His clinical and academic excellence have benefited thousands of patients and trained several ophthalmology specialists.

Following a distinguished career in the Armed Forces, he served as Medical Director at Venu Eye Institute, Delhi, where he led initiatives in advanced retinal surgeries, patient care, and postgraduate education. His contribution to ophthalmology reflects a perfect blend of clinical precision, leadership, and compassionate service.
